Fiddle Time Scales 1 – Audio
Each scale and arpeggio has a two-bar introduction: one bar of clicks to set the tempo, then one bar of piano before you start to play.
Each backing is in 4/4. You’ll hear a violin ‘guide’ note playing a semibreve (whole note) on each degree of the scale or on each note of the arpeggio.
Play any 4-beat rhythm pattern on each note of the scale or arpeggio. A few suggestions are here.
